The instrument is in good working order.
A Bio-Rad MBC 1000 laser scanning confocal system on an
inverted Zeiss Axiovert 35 microscope equipped with a
10x/0.30 Zeiss dry lens, a 40x/1.30 Olympus oil lens and a
63x/1.40 Zeiss oil lens is available for sale. The laser
source is an ILT white light (Model 54036), which has 3
output laser lines of 488nm, 568nm and 647nm. A Zeiss
HBO 100 arclamp and an EPSCO power supply for a tungsten
lamp for screening samples is included. The PC DOS based
software (COMOS) controls the system settings,
image acquiring and display options. A Seikosha VP-3500
video printer is attached to the system to print images
from the screen.
