immobilizing bacteria

Hi everyone,

I am imaging bacteria labelled with GFP and YFP.  My
questions is how do you immobilize the bacteria so you
don't end up with a blurred image?  I have heard of
using formaldehyde but am unfamiliar with this
procedure. Thanks
