Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory has an opening for an experienced technician to 
work in the Flow Cytometry Facility. Equipment in the facility includes a 
CompuCyte iCys Laser Scanning Cytometer, a Becton Dickinson LSRII cell 
analyzer, BD FACSVantage DiVa and FACSAria cell sorters. The successful 
candidate will work under the supervision of the Facility Manager and will be 
responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment, and working with 
scientists on experiment design, use of the equipment, and data analysis. 

Candidates should have a BS or MS in cell biology or a related area, a minimum 
of two years of hands-on laboratory experience, and computer skills. 
Experience with fluorescence microscopy iand/or flow cytometry is strongly 
preferred. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to 
work with a diverse group of people are essential. Candidates must be highly 
motivated, independent workers willing to learn to operate sophisticated 
equipment. Training will be provided.
