A late afternoon exercise walk and home-renovation escape, yielded
some migrant sightings, along with the usual:
Orange-crowned warbler, Tennessee warbler, several Nashvilles, several
Yellow-rumps, RC kinglet, Red-Eyed vireo, Philadelphia vireo,
White-throated sparrows, and one probable Connecticut warbler. Most of
them were found on the north side of the big lake, but the CT was on
the riverbank. It seemed to be a young one, with very muted,
dark-toned color.It was struggling to kill and eat a very large
caterpiller, which it finally gulped down like a strand of spaghetti.
