There is still plenty of room if you would like to sign up for the
"Birding the Bend" MOU trip to Blue Earth and Nicollet counties on May
22-23. Last year on this trip the group had a very successful weekend,
finding over 150 species. The highlights?
-Cerulean, Prothonotary, Kentucky, and Connecticut Warblers
-Lark, Grasshopper, and Henslow's Sparrows
-Hudsonian Godwits, Ruddy Turnstones, and American Golden-Plover
Just to name a few. This spring's trip will be one week earlier than
last year's trip, which means we'll have a shot at even more warblers
(hitting the "late peak"), more shorebirds, and even more surprises.
When you're birding the bend of the Minnesota River in late May,
anything is possible.
