Betsy - Thanks for this information. I was hoping to take a drive on the country roads through the refuge yet this week. Any other information you would care to share would be very much appreciated. Do you know if there are snow showing trails? I could also use my cross country skis if you have any good advice for birding on those trails. Thanks! Michelle Hed

Subject: [mou-net] snow buntings & horned larks - Sherburne Co.
I flushed about 150 snow buntings from the edge of Sherburne Co. Rd. 9 today,
just 1/2 mile west of Refuge HQ. And 2 miles east of HQ there were 6 horned
larks along the road. Lots of crows in the area the last week or so and a lone
male red-winged blackbird has been visiting my feeder at HQ for the last 7-10
days.
