Speak out in support of Roberts Bird Sanctuary!
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is considering an
off-leash dog park in two locations that are adjacent to T.S. Roberts Bird
Sanctuary, which is located in the officially recognized Minneapolis Chain
of Lakes Important Bird Area (IBA) by National Audubon. Having a dog park
next to the Sanctuary poses a serious risk of disrupting the protective
habitat there. The MPRB and its Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) needs to
hear from you now, because this process is on a fast track.
Please Help Now! If you are opposed to putting a dog park next to the
Sanctuary, please contact the CAC and the Commissioners now. You don’t
have to live in Minneapolis to voice your concern.
