Thanks to Cindy Krienke and her husband's effort and sharp spotting, I was
able to view one of the Dodge Co. Snowy Owls in mid-afternoon today. It was
hunkered down on/behind a short, narrow strip of snow in the plowed
NW-corner field of the intersection of CR1 (120 Ave.) and 700th St.
Periodically it would rise up a bit and look around, before dropping down
until only its neck and head were visible--camouflage at work!
