Hi Michael,
Try Jan Strelow at Meridian Instrument Co., he may have some OE Nikon gears. He's replaced gears and focusing mechanisms on our E800 several times. Here's his contact info:

The plastic gear (Really NIKON, plastic gears!!) on the condenser adjustment knob broke on my E800. My request to Nikon for a replacement was not successful. They apparently don't support the E800 any longer. When did microscopes become "disposable"? Anybody have any suggestions for a third party source for replacement parts? Do I need to have a new gear machined?
