As a result of continual requests fron users I have, against
my better judgement, written a utility to convert BioRad 4-bit
merged images (ie standard merge, no fancy options). It writes
the appropriate palette to a .BMP image so that the image will
appear the same as on the BioRad.

The problem is that the BioRad merge (in any of its forms) is
pretty inadequate even on the BioRad video screen - it looks
worse on a good SVGA and will be even worse on a 24-bit output
device. I suspect that most users will try it once then realise
that making a 24-bit merge with MAKERGB (which has been part of
Parfocal for a long time) is really the way to go!

Anyway, it will be included with Parfocal from now on, and if
any existing users want it they should contact me.
