what we get are individual scan lines of the wrong intensity - usually
too bright.  Michael Cammer's problem sounds similar, but we get it
at slow scan too.  It's only 2 or 3 lines on a picture, but of course
this does spoil the appearance.  It must relate to how Bio-Rad
switch the signal beween the two PMT outputs on one screen - anyone
know the details of how they do this?
