I am in the process of establishing a training procedure for
our Department's shaired Confocal Microscope. I have been running our
Electron Microscope Facility for over three years. I will be taking a class
at Biorad this fall. I am just wondering what are some of the problems
you or others have had with training people?

1. How long is your training?
2. Do you do the same thing with everyone?
3. What are the biggest problems with their images?

I too would appreciate any advice anyone might have.

Hello

I am responsible for the use and training of our Noran confocal system.
As I have had the opportunity to use the system far more than others in our
school, I have found that the learning curve for collecting what I would call
good images (low background, good contrast, adequate range of pixel intensities
, etc.) is quite long. I am interested if others who coordinte facilities in m
ulti-user environments have similar observations.I really don't think its the
system, but I just have a hard time explaining to people that I think there ima
ges are ugly.

Anyone have any thoughts?
