Confocal Assistant will readily convert  Bio-Rad pic files, including
batch conversions of image stacks into the desired format, and merge
separate images into user-selected color planes of RGB files.  Note that
the current version, 2.55, may require the most current versions of the
video drivers on your PC or your computer can lock up while looping
through some entertaining visual displays
 
NIH Image, Mac public domain, comes with a great many macros, a few of
which will convert Bio-rad files.  It will create separate files, tiff or
pict,  from stacks, or allow conversion of those stacks into Image stacks.
