After seeing the instrument's performance a few weeks ago, we have issued a
purchase order for the Technical lnstrument/Nikon "BriteI" CLSM. This is a
pinhole scanner with beam delivered by fiber optics. Some of its specs are
summarized in Table 1/Appendix 2 of the Pawley Handbook, 2nd edition. The
unit delivers good-looking confocal pictures, and is compact and easy to
set up.
>Hi everyone,
>
>I heard that Nikon is promoting or selling a "new" laser confocal microscope
>unit. Rumor has it that it came from a company called Technical Instruments.

>If someone out there currently owns one, or has experience using one can you
>give me some feedback on the kind of images it produces. We currently have
>an old Zeiss system and I would like to know what new technology is out on
>the market.
