Dear Bio-rad 1024 and 1024UV users, and other UV confocal users,
I would like to hear what Bio-rad 1024 UV system users , or any other
users of UV confocal systems, about their system , pros and cons. How many
lasers are you running , how are they delivered and how many can the system
handle, and what are the number of detectors available for fluorescent and
transmitted signals? I have been running a Bio-rad MRC 600 for 6 with an
argon / krypton laser for 6 years. We are in the process of looking to buy
another confocal that has UV and visible light capabilities. How do you
evaluate the efficiency of spectral collection between the UV and Visible
spectra? Does anyone know anything about the Zeiss 510 that was just
recently introduced or the Nikon and Noran systems etc. I am currently
contacting these company's and still waiting for their responses. Please
reply directly to me at the below address.

Thank you for your comments and time,

Joe Goodhouse
