Hi Martin

I have presented confocal " videos" (3d rotations) several times. I
use Powerpoint v7.0 for windows 95. This will play movie files (.AVI)
and enables animated text for slides.

To convert tiff files to movies we have used several software
packages. Initially we used Video for Dos (Video for Windows may be
easier) but this took a while and involved writing a batch file.
Recently we acquired Videotrope which seems easy to use and does
what we want. Version 1.00 supports only .PCX, BMP and TGA image
formats but it is easy to do a batch conversion first using PaintShop
Pro or other cheap graphics package.

As for hardware, we use a Polaroid projector connected to the PC - I
don't know what the model is - you can email me if interested.
Alternatively you could connect your pc to a VCR.

the videotrope site is: http://www.digitalworkshop.co.uk/vtp.htm

happy moviemaking
