I don't have experience with SoftWindows 95 but a few years ago i tried
SoftPC on a Personal Iris (SGI) running Unix. With this emulator i tried
to run some DOS applications (WordPerfect and Excel) and it was incredibly
slow (similar to a 8086...). I doubt today's faster processors and faster
(?) emulators will give you enough performance to do image processing
this way (meaning with an emulated Windows 95 window on a SGI
environment).
