Hoi,
SYBR green 1 is a stain proposed by molecular probes for DNA staining on
gels.
Has anyone out there used this dye to stain whole mount tissues or section
and looked at it in confocal microscopy?
Any references will be of interest.
Practical sugestions are largly appreciated.
As this dye stains double stranded DNA very specific, it is used for
following melting curves, should this be possible with SYBR green 1 in
confocal. We can lower melting points by adding formamide, but is
chromatine still stainable with CYBR green 1.
Thanks in advance,
Patrick,
