I don't believe that "turning on the fluorescence microscope arc lamp
before turning on the computer" could be a remedy to prevent hardware
damages.
Please, pay attention that electronic components are equally or even more
vulnerable if currents are not flowing inside.
Eventually, your suggestion can only avoid crashing.
However, that isn't the main issue!
