Interesting that you suggest "yet another app that CLA provides, that Central 
should" (or as we like to call them yaatCptCs [pronounced 'yapps']).

We use it some for new things, but we, like many sites, have years and years 
of published links that we would like any easy way to manage.

And you know users, they love their vanity URLs!
