1) SUTURE WORKSHOP
-The new date is Monday, March 8th at 6pm
-a sign-up email and more information to follow

2) SAEM
-Conference is May 15-19 in Orlando. Student Symposium is Saturday, May 15
8-4:30.
-Department of EM will cover airfare & hotel for around 8 students (4 guys,
4 gals) to go to the conference.  Students will be responsible for the $50
registration fee.  Preference given to MS3 & MS2 who have not attended
previously.

-If anyone has done EM research & is submitting their work to SAEM, the
department would like to know.  Thanks.

3) FUNDRAISING FOR SAEM
-The department would like students to serve as BLS training assistants. 
This will help defray the costs of sending students to SAEM.
-Will need 1-2 students per session to set up, do skills practice, and
clean up.
-There will be a sign-up sheet at the next EMIG mtg (MS2 should have spring
schedules by then!)

4) CRISIS NURSERY
-Chris C. is working on setting up a date for this.  More info to come.

5) LUNCH LECTURE
-This will happen sometime in April.
-Topic will likely be rural EM, with the well-recieved lecturer from last
year.

6) JOURNAL CLUB
-The EMIG Journal Club is now up & running.
-First date will be Wed, March 10th around 7pm.
-Copies of the article ("A Study to Develop Critical Decision Rules for the
Use of Radiography in Acute Ankle Injuries") are available in the student
copy room as well as the Dept. of EM office.
-Gary will send out more info as the date approaches.
