1. Call for Visiting Fellows: "Visual Culture and Pedagogy in the
Life Sciences,"  The 2006 Humanities Institute at Dartmouth College
will explore the critical role of visual culture in the pedagogy of
medicine and the life sciences over the past 200 years.  Application
materials should arrive before April 1, 2005 to be guaranteed full
consideration.

2. MBL-Dibner Seminar: "Cosmic Evolution and Astrobiology."  Jim
Strick and Steve Dick are helping to organize the week's activities,
and Lynn Margulis, Carl Woese, Iris Fry, Carol Cleland, Carl Pilcher,
Bernard Lightman, John Rummell will join the group as discussion
leaders Application deadline has been extended to February 15, 2005.
