Call for Abstracts: Philosophy of Biology at the Mountains (POBAM)
2020 Workshop, University of Utah, 8-12 June 2020. The workshop
showcases new work in the philosophy of biology. Submissions can be on
any topic in the philosophy of biology or biology-oriented philosophy
of science. Deadline: 31 January 2020.

Call for Abstracts:  8th International Workshop on the History of
Human Genetics, Berlin, Germany, 4-5 June 2020. Abstracts related to
the conference themes, "History of Eugenics" and "Evolution of
Techniques in Human Genetics," are especially welcome. Deadline: 14
February 2020.

Summer School: PhilInBioMed summer school, "Philosophy in Biology and
Medicine," Carcans, France, 25-29 May 2020. This summer school will
bring together 20 young scholars (PhD students and postdocs) from the
fields of philosophy of science, the life sciences, and medicine.

Fellowships: The Center for Humanities & History of Modern Biology at
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory invites applications for its 2020-21
fellowship program. Sydney Brenner Research Fellowships of up to $5000
recognize and support historians, writers, and artists who are engaged
in ambitious and significant work on the history of the life sciences.
Deadline: 31 January 2020. Research Travel Grants of up to $1000 (no
deadline) defray travel and lodging costs for individuals planning to
travel to the CSHL archives for research purposes.

Fellowships: The Beckman Center at the Science History Institute,
Philadelphia, PA, offers fellowships on an annual cycle for scholars
doing research on their collections or in the history and social
studies of chemistry, chemical engineering, and the life sciences. The
Center offers postdoctoral fellowships (2 years), dissertation
fellowships (9 months), and short-term fellowships (1-4 months).

Job: The School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University invites
applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible lecturer position
beginning 16 August 2020. The successful candidate will be responsible
for developing and teaching undergraduate courses in bioethics
required for their Biomedical Sciences degree. Deadline: 24 January
