PRIZE ANNOUNCEMENT  (please cross-post)

The 1999 Forum for the History of Science in America Prize will be
presented for the best article by a scholar who received the Ph.D. not
more than 10 years ago (i.e. 1989 or later), published in English in
1996, 1997, or 1998.  The subject area, history of American science, is
broadly defined to include Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Nominations for the Prize, including
full bibliographic information and a copy of the article, should be sent
by
August 1, 1999 to Susan E. Lederer, FHSA Prize Committee Chair.  Her
address is 779 Pine Tree Rd. Hummelstown, PA 17036.  (Authors may
nominate themselves.)
