Society members: position announcements, postdoctoral announcements,
grant and funding opportunities, conference announcements, calls for
papers, and brief queries on research topics.  The sooner you send me
something, the more likely that I will be able to have it posted

1. Call for Papers: "Metaphysics of Science," fifth meeting of the
Société de philosophie des sciences (SPS), Lille, France, 25-27 June
2014. The theme is not binding for submission: proposals on any
relevant topic in philosophy of science can be submitted. Deadline: 10
January 2014.

2. Graduate Funding: The Department of History and Philosophy of
Science at the University of Cambridge offers a variety of funding
opportunities for students applying to start an MPhil or PhD in
2014-15. To be eligible for these awards you must submit your graduate
application by 10 January 2014.

3. ISHPSSB Off-Year Workshop: **Proposal deadline extended to 20 January 2014**.

4. Postdoc: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ethics Education in Science and
Engineering, John J. Reilly Center for Science, Technology, and
Values, University of Notre Dame. Three-year term beginning 1 July
2014. Applications are welcome from scholars working in any area of
the ethics of science and engineering. Deadline: 30 January 2014.

5. Call for Applications: MBL-ASU History of Biology Seminar, "History
of Zoo and Aquarium Conservation," Marine Biological Laboratory Woods
Hole, 18-25 May 2014. The seminar is an excellent opportunity for
graduate students interested in any aspect of the history and
philosophy of zoos and aquariums. Deadline: 31 January 2014.

6. Call for Editor: *Science & Education* (Springer). The
International History, Philosophy and Science Teaching Group (IHPST)
is seeking an internationally respected scholar with a background
featuring elements of both science education and history, philosophy,
or sociology of science and who has prior editorial and/or managerial
experience. Five-year term to begin 1 January 2015. Deadline: 1
February 2014.

7. Call for Papers: "Science, Technology and Gender: Challenges and
Opportunities," a joint meeting of the Association for Feminist
Epistemologies, Methodologies, Metaphysics, and Science Studies
(FEMMSS) and the Canadian Society for Women in Philosophy (CSWIP),
University of Waterloo, 10-13 August 2014. This conference welcomes
submissions from across the disciplines. Deadline: 15 February 2014.

8. Conference: "Nurturing Genetics: Reflections on a Century of
Scientific and Social Change," University of Leeds, 29 June - 2 July
2014. All are welcome, though space is limited, and registration in
advance is required. To register, or for more information, please
