POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW:

The University of Adelaide is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow opportunity, on a new NHMRC Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) grant through the ELSI (ethical, legal, and social issues) stream of the 2020 Stem Cell Therapies Mission. The successful candidate will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on a project entitled “Developing an Evidence–Based Model for Building Trust in Australian Stem Cell Research and Therapies,” led by Prof Rachel A. Ankeny.

TENURE-TRACK PROFESSOR IN HISTORY OF THE MODERN LIFE SCIENCES:

Position Description: The Department of History of Science seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor or tenure-track Associate Professor in the History of the Modern Life Sciences, broadly construed. Applicants with interests in the history of Race and Ethnicity in the Life Sciences are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a strong scholarly record and teaching experience, or show promise of excellence in academic research, publications, and teaching. The position involves undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as advising graduate students at M.A. and Ph.D. levels. The appointment is expected to begin on 1 July 2022.

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate in History of Science or related disciplines required by the time the appointment begins.

  6.  Names and contact information of 3 referees, who will be asked by a system-generated email to upload a letter of recommendation once the candidate’s application has been submitted. Three letters of recommendation are required by the closing date of 15 October, and the application is considered complete only when three letters have been received. At least one letter must come from someone who has not served as the candidate’s undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral advisor.
