Last night a friend called to report an owl in his garage. I went up
to have a look and sure enough, perched on the handlebars of his
bicycle was a boreal owl! I went back this morning to see if it was
still around, but couldn't find it anywhere nearby. For anyone who
wants to have a look around the neighborhood we are in the Hunter's
Park neighborhood of Duluth (Between Hawk Ridge and UMD). Their exact
address is 2127 Sussex Avenue. They welcomed birders (but not in the
garage!).

Matt Etterson
Duluth
