This is the Duluth Birding Report for July 24th, 2016 sponsored by the
Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

A BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER was found on the 17th by Ben Anderson at the
Park Point Recreation Area. Ben also found four WILLETS here on the 10th
and two of them were still present on the 13th. Peder Svingen saw seven
shorebird species at the recreation area on the 18th, including six
STILT SANDPIPERS, 20 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS, and four SHORT-BILLED
DOWITCHERS.

Jan and Larry Kraemer saw a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD on the 16th at the Park
Point Recreation Area. They also saw five RED-THROATED LOONS here on the
14th.

Allan Meadows heard two VIRGINIA RAILS on the 15th about seven miles
east of International Falls.

The next scheduled update of this report will be on or about Thursday,
August 4th.
