This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday September 6th, 2012.

On September 3rd, a MISSISSIPPI KITE flew over Mike Hendrickson's house
in west Duluth.

Two CAROLINA WRENS were reported in Rochester, Olmsted County on the
3rd. They are being seen along 7th Avenue SW between 9th and 10th
Streets. At least one bird has been here since August 20th.

On the 1st, Beau Shroyer reported a SNOWY EGRET flying over the Otter
Tail River north of Frazee in Becker County. It was later discovered at
Trieglaff Lake, which has no public access.

On the 2nd, a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was at Springsteel Island just north
of Warroad in Roseau County. Though not seen since Sunday, check near
the western end of the loop road.

Fall migrants reported since last week include WHIP-POOR-WILL, AMERICAN
PIPIT, CANADA WARBLER, BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER, and WHITE-THROATED
SPARROW.
