I saw the snowy owl reported by Milt Blomberg today at about 2:00 p.m.  It was sitting on top of a small metal grain bin on the west side of CR 4 about 1 mile south of the intersection of CR's 4 and 31 - south of Greenwald.  It has quite a bit of brown plumage.

When some snowmobilers went by, it flew to the west and out of sight.  I went back to the north a block or so and turned west on 310th St. and drove that, as well as 353rd Ave, but didn't relocate the bird.  I could only search for about 1/2 hour as I had to attend a family get-together.  There are several farms with silos, utility poles, irrigation equipment, etc. in the area, so lots of places for it to perch.  Hoping to go back tomorrow, when I have a little more time!
