This is the Duluth Birding Report for July 23rd, 2014 sponsored by the
Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

A NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was found by Sonya Mirus on the 17th in the
Central Hillside neighborhood of Duluth. Karl Bardon saw a RED-THROATED
LOON fly by the McQuade Road boat launch east of Duluth on the 14th.

Bob Ekblad found two VIRGINIA RAILS on the 12th across the road from the
Grand Portage sewage ponds in Cook County.

The next scheduled update of this report will be in two weeks on July
31st.
