A breeding plumage Cattle Egret was at the Tacoma Ave. sod farm after the storms this morning. He likely arrived during or after the storms, as the field he was in has had no standing water all month(as is the case for most of the farm). It is possible he was there Friday, but when I was in the area Thursday he was not there. Shorebird sightings for the morning are below.

Carver County

Killdeer
Spotted Sandpiper 1
Solitary Sandpiper 2
Lesser Yellowlegs 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper 20
Least Sandpiper 86
Baird's Sandpiper 3

Sibley County

Killdeer
Solitary Sandpiper 1
Greater Yellowlegs 4
Lesser Yellowlegs 10
Least Sandpiper 20
Unidentified peeps 15
Short-billed Dowitcher 6
Wilson's Phalarope 1 male
