I spent from about 7AM until 8AM Tuesday looking into the sun for the Laughing Gull in Houston County before work. There are lots of gulls in the area, and a number of spots where 30-50 birds or so will loaf, so it is probably worth scanning from both major overlooks, and anywhere else you can catch a glimpse. The MN/WI state line will be an issue just about anywhere, if you care.

The "Highway 26 Overlook" is along 26, 4.5 miles south of Brownsville.

The "Brownsville Overlook" is along 26, 3.2 miles south of Brownsville.

I intend to check after work when the lighting is better.

Winona, MN
