I stopped at the Moose Lake sewage ponds this evening and found 30 to 40
sandpipers in the first pond (before getting to the main entrance gate).
There were several species including at least one Buff-breasted Sandpiper, a
couple of Semipalmated Sandpipers, several Bairds and a few Least
Sandpipers. They were very active and were flying around a lot, mostly on
the east shore of the first pond. A few flew over the second pond but
didn't land there. When I drove further down the road to the third pond I
spotted a mostly breeding plumaged Eared Grebe out in the middle by itself.
The only other birds on that pond were 3 Ring-billed Gulls.
