Hi folks, its that time of year again. Scott Mehus will again be
leading field trips to find Golden Eagles in Buffalo and Wabasha
counties. Program consists of some time in the classroom learning how
to distinguish goldens from juvenile bald eagles and then a trip by
car caravan out to find some golden eagles. Trips start at the
National Eagle Center in Wabasha at 1 pm on Nov 19th, Dec 17th
and Jan 7th. There is no charge for these other than the regular
admission to NEC.
And January 21 is the 8th annual wintering golden eagle survey.
Volunteer observers are needed for routes in Mn, WI and IA. Routes
are done from a vehicle and take about 4-6 hours.
Volunteers should have attended one of the above field trips ( or one
in previous years)
If you would like to register for a field trip or volunteer for the
survey, contact Scott Mehus at 651-565-4989x101 or email [log in to unmask]
.
If the weather looks dubious on the day of the field trip, please
call to check if it has been postponed.
