This is the Duluth Birding Report for December 18th, 2015 sponsored by
the Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

A PACIFIC LOON was found on the 17th by Jan and Larry Kraemer at Canal
Park in Duluth. They also saw a late CANVASBACK and a RING-NECKED DUCK
on the 14th at Indian Point in west Duluth.

Peder Svingen saw five ICELAND GULLS, three GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULLS,
and 12 THAYER'S GULLS on the 12th on the Minnesota side of the Superior
Entry. He then saw 12 more THAYER’S GULLS at Canal Park shortly after,
giving a record-high count of 24 individuals. Lars Benson saw an adult
ICELAND GULL on the 14th at 27th Avenue West.

JG Bennett saw a very late HERMIT THRUSH on the 13th near the lower
Woodland neighborhood in Duluth.
