After mapping out Bruce Fall's Snowy Owl locations in Dakota County along
with Steve Weston's, Drew Smith's and Blaine Seelinger locations there are
no fewer than 10 Snowy Owls in Dakota County. I suspect there will be more
owls moving into Dakota County. Birders should consider checking these
areas for Snowy Owls: Farmington area, Northfield area, Canon Falls area,
Goodhue area and Vermillion area. I suspect there are some owls to be
found in these areas.

I am also seeing an increase of reports in NW Minnesota and either these
owls have been here for some time or they just moved down from Manitoba
recently and it will be interesting how many more Snowy Owls will show up
in this part of the state.

The concentration of Snowy Owls in the Litchfield, Grove City area will be
causing me decision issues if these owls begin to move west into Kandyohi
County. Do not want to count the same owl twice.

I would like to thank everyone for their accurate locations they been
sharing on the MOU listserve - keep it up, it makes my job of mapping them
out so much easier. So thank you!!
