While helping with the Meeker County CBC today, Ron Erpelding, Jan
Bergstrom, and I came across a juvenile Golden Eagle at around 3:35. It was
seen along 328th St. west of CR34 (about 6 miles north of Litchfield). More
precisely, it was on the north side of 328th St. just west of the North Fork
of the Crow River. Caution: There was also a juvenile Bald Eagle in the
area. The Golden Eagle had the broad white band across the base of the
tail, but did not have the white patches in the wing.
