Hi
I got a call from my Friend Travis today. He saw an American Wigeon, Drake at Palmer Lake Park. I immediately went down there and met him there. If you know the park at all it is in the north central part of the park where the bridge over Shingle Creek is. From the bridge it was seen about two hundred yards north on the creek. There is a paved trail on the east side of the bridge that can get you fairly close to him if he’s still there. Here is a link to some of my photos and a very short video where you can hear him call. Not much else besides Mallards there today however. https://www.flickr.com/photos/ronsthoughts/with/24915216803/
