After being away visiting family for the holidays, I returned to find that
the female Varied Thrush is still a regular visitor to our yard near Grand
Rapids. It arrived on 11/29, so tomorrow will mark at least 1 month that
it has been here.

I'm not sure exactly which feed it's eating, but I've been throwing a
cupful of cracked corn plus some of a commercial mix that includes dried
fruit, peanut pieces, and sunflower chips under our white cedar each
morning. Occasionally I've seen it picking at a cheap blueberry suet cake
I placed under there as well.
