Brad Abendroth discovered 23 American Avocets this morning in Kandiyohi
County. The wetland is on the north side of CR 27 about a mile east of CR
1. There are two wetlands--this one is the easternmost wetland. The Avocets
are hanging out on the center sandy island. Also, it appears the Willet
that Joel Schmidt discovered in this spot yesterday is still present. It
was in the NE corner, very distant. These birds were present as of 8:30
this morning.
