Subject: Trumpeter Swan sightings

I would appreciate hearing from birders who might see groups of
Trumpeter Swans outstate. There are pockets of open water due to power
plants, etc. We know of at least 110 Trumpeters now wintering in
Arkansas and a few other swans in more southerly locations. If anyone
spots Trumpeters in their winter birding travels throughout Minnesota or
to our south, we would appreciate hearing about them. We are interested
to hear about numbers on the Otter Tail River. There are, as in past
years, many swans up and down the Mississippi River between Monticello
and Elk River.

Thank you for any reports.
