Fairly late this afternoon, I went up to Aitkin County Road 18 and found 
3 GREAT GRAY OWLS. The first one was only 8/10 of a mile east of highway 
169, hunting from a small tamarack on the south side of the road. The 
other two were close to each other, about 3 and 3/10ths miles to the 
east of highway 169, hunting by a field on the south side of the road. 
Also found 2 RUFFED GROUSE and a flock (unkindness) of RAVENS -- about 
twenty birds.   Warren Nelson
