This is the Duluth Birding Report for October 7th, 2016 sponsored by the

A Plegadis IBIS was seen from the Hawk Ridge overlook on the 7th, but it
could not be determined if it was a Glossy or a White-faced. Four
SWAINSON'S HAWKS and a GOLDEN EAGLE were also seen.

John Richardson saw three SABINE'S GULLS and three PARASITIC JAEGERS on
the 3rd at the Park Point Recreation Area. Bruce Munson saw a SURF
SCOTER on the 3rd on the bay side of Park Point near the sailing club
and Mike Hendrickson saw a WHITE-WINGED SCOTER at the dune bridge near
the Sky Harbor Airport.

The NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD near the Endion Station cider house in Canal
Park was last reported on the 2nd. Peder Svingen also found a TOWNSEND'S
SOLITAIRE on the 1st in nearby Lake Place Park, but it has not been
reported since.

A EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE was seen on the 7th at 1st Avenue and 8th
Street in downtown Two Harbors. A flyover SHORT-EARED OWL was also seen
in the same area.

The next scheduled update of this report will be on or about Thursday,
