Vern and I watched a Northern Mockingbird, today, May 2, from 5:55pm to 6:20pm. From Elysian, MN take County Road 11 north. About 2 miles. Look for a red house on the west side of the road. Fire Number 1972. The bird was foraging for bugs in the mowed lawn and ditch. Sometimes sitting in the raspberry canes next to the pond or sitting in the sumac shrubs in the same area just east of the house.
