I have also heard from a different source of at least one recent sighting
in that area, searches that I know about on Sunday and Monday failed to
relocate the bird. My source says that the bird was seen in Le Sueur
County.

Subject: [mou-net] Snowy Owl report in Scott County

A coworker just told me about a Snowy Owl he saw two days ago about 4
miles west of New Prague along Hwy. 19, just on the Scott County side of
the Scott/Le Sueur border. He mentioned that he didn't see it passing by
the same location yesterday but might still be worth a more extensive
search.
He also said that it appeared to be a younger bird.
