The Varied Thrush in Ely was still being seen yesterday afternoon and this morning at bird feeders located at 1220 E. Main Street in Ely. It flies across Main Street and feeds for only 2-3 minutes and then returns to the woods for a half and hour or more. The only time it was seen longer at the feeder was yesterday when it was frozen like a statue because a northern shrike was there.
