I got a call today about a "small" owl that died (last week) in a yard full
of bird feeders - two miles east of Warren and one mile north of State Hwy
1 on 310th Ave near the Snake River overpass.

I drove over and dug through last night's snow and found it... a Boreal
Owl. (a photo is posted on the Agassiz Audubon facebook page).

I have not seen the Boreal Owl spotted two weeks ago at the Audubon Center
(Polk County).

A Snowy Owl was reported today - it may be the same bird reported several
times this winter - west on County 23 (from US 75 at Angus MN) to County 20
and north to 190th Street - it has flown up from the ditches and perched
on power poles along this road and to the west on township roads.
