Hey birders,
The Bethany Hawkwatch has seen significant eagle movement in the last 3
days in Mankato. We’ve had nearly 750 Bald Eagles and a single juvenile
Golden Eagle. The days with south winds (Sun/Tue) were when the bulk moved
through (358/293). On such days, the best location to observe the movement
is at Land of Memories City Park off of Hwy 169/60. Birds follow the river
down from St. Peter and come in from the west as well, passing within
vicinity of this location.
Happy birding!
