Over the last 10+ years, I have searched for Henslow's Sparrow in Benton
County every spring and summer with no success. Last night, I finally found
not just one, but 2 of them calling from a field in an area where I had
least expected them. From what I can determine, this is a county record.

The location is on the north side of 155th St NE (2 miles south of the
Morrison County line), about 100 yards west of 195th Ave (the Mille Lacs
County line). This is private property, but one of the birds was fairly
close and could be easily heard from the road.

I first heard the birds at sunset (9:08 PM), but I was amazed to hear one of
the birds still calling when I came past the location again at 10:20.
